History Theater Props
During 6th grade Civics and Social Studies class students are the historians and are engaged through historical storytelling, acting out concepts, and being involved in simulations. We can make our stories and acting more impactful with visual aids and props to go in hand with our readings and simulations.

Rotaract's Annual Etiquette Dinner
My Rotaract team raised money for local Girl Scout Troops in the area and passed down skills of etiquette to the community. We had multiple corporation and individual sponsors for the event, as well as, 50 attendees who enjoyed the fashion show, public speakers, and lessons on etiquette.

AVID College Field Trips
Students in a low income area had a need to help pay for college fields trips in their AVID classes. I wrote the grant and procured money for transportation to lessen the financial burden for students to learn about options in their future.

To showcase student’s talents at Eastwood and bring the community together in order to raise money for our Student Services Fund that helps students facing hardship.

One Ball State Day (2019-2021)
I worked with the Alumni Center Staff at Ball State University to promote giving on One Ball State Day, the universities award-winning 24-hour online fundraising event held in April. On this day, it’s all about our great University and the people who make this place so special! Alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of Ball State are welcome and encouraged to show their Cardinal pride and make a gift to the area that means the most to them.

Carmel's Social Committee
August 2023- Present
As a member of Carmel Middle's Social Committee I work to better the welfare for teachers and the community. I plan events for teachers to gather and build their sense of safety/community at the school. I also have become our unofficial "food truck girl" coordinating multiple food truck events for teachers.
Carmel's Diversity and Inclusion Committee
August 2023- Present
As a member of Carmel's Diversity and Inclusion Committee I have worked alongside teachers to uphold the affirmation and affinity of students, parents, community members and teachers within their identities. We have planned events such at the Culture Night, discussed teacher retention solutions, and current events that have effected our communities.
Carmel's Alliance Club Leader

As the club leader for Alliance Club at Carmel Middle School, I lead students to drive the meetings and have a safe space for them to meet. This club is a student driven club where they make decisions about how to run the meetings and about the activities they participate in. I am there to lead them through this and be a safe adult for our LGBTQIA+ community.
Eastwood's Community Involvement Committee

As a member of Eastwood's Community Involvement Committee, I help plan events and activities that foster community engagement, equity, and safe places for families to come together. We have planned block parties, a Winter Festival Clothing Drive, and collected donations to help support the needs of the families in our community.
Check In Check Out (CICO) Mentor
November 2021- May 2023
I mentor two 6th grade students each day checking in with them at the beginning of the day and again at the end. We create goals together in regard to important behavior choices. I facilitate data collection of the students' behaviors specific to how much they show respect, safety, and responsibility within each of their classes.
Eastwood's PTO Liason
August 2021- May 2023
As Eastwood's PTO Liason I attend Board meetings for the PTO, I am the contact for teachers reaching out with questions about the PTO's role at our school, and I help navigate plans, ideas, and goals to better help support teachers at Eastwood. I give the PTO updates from teachers and am informed about what is happening with both groups to bridge communication between the two.
Eastwood's Equality Alliance Club Leader
January 2021- May 2023
I lead the Gay-Straight Alliance at Eastwood Middle School. The club's purpose is to be a safe space to unite LGBTQ* students and allies. My group is a student affinity and affirmation space that allows students to be themselves and advocate for themselves. The club is student choice-driven and gives students a chance to have discussions about LGBTQ+ issues in the school and how to improve the environment of Eastwood to be more inclusive to all.
Check and Connect Mentor
August 2021- May 2023
I mentored a 6th-grade student at Eastwood Middle School based on the guidelines of the Check and Connect program in MSDWT District. Mentors have helped keep thousands of students on track toward graduation. C&C is the only dropout prevention intervention listed on the IES What Works Clearinghouse found to have positive effects on staying in school.
Mentor for Social Studies Teaching Majors
September 2020- August 2021
I mentored my peers in the Social Studies Teaching Major at Ball State University. I shared my expertise in the material and courses required in our major and made my self available when my peers had questions. I helped give them feedback on assignments such as Unit Plans and history papers throughout the year.
Rotaract Club Volunteer
August 2018- August 2022
I volunteered with other members of Rotaract Club by cleaning up parks and our community. We volunteered our time to Muncie Mission, Second Harvest Food Bank, Muncie's Animal Shelter, at concession stands with Rotary clubs, and more. I also volunteered my time training Rotarians on what Rotaract club does and is, as well as, spoke at multiple Rotary meetings to share my club's accomplishments. Lastly, we held annual Etiquette dinners to benefit local Girl Scout Troops in Muncie.
Kappa Delta Pi Volunteer
May 2019- May 2020
I volunteered with other members of Kappa Delta Pi at the Back to School Book Store in Muncie sorting books and helping improve the store. I also read books and recorded myself so that kids at daycares could engage in learning opportunities from my video.
Mentor for College Mentors for Kids
September 2018- August 2020
As a Mentor, I got to spend time with my little buddy each week and participate in educational activities together with other mentors and buddies. I also enjoyed learning with my buddy about careers, culture and diversity, and community service. I connected with my buddy over the year as a mentor and saw her grow and learn tremendously.
Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity
November 2020
On November 7th, myself and 7 other Rotaract members helped build a house to better the lives of a family in need. Habitat for Humanity believes that affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
Volunteer for Ross Community Center
January 2019- January 2020
At the Ross Community Center located in Muncie, Indiana, I helped oversee the after-school activities for 30 students. These students come from an impoverished area in our community and it was rewarding to help them each day grow, learn, and have fun. We helped them with their homework, gave them snacks, planned physical and educational activities each day and make sure they met daily goals.
Hoosier Girl's State Social Counselor
Summer of 2017
I worked for two weeks counseling top Juniors from high schools around Indiana at Hoosier Girls State. Hoosier Girls State is run by the American Legion Auxiliary. The camp's purpose is to to provide an outstanding, unique, and coveted educational opportunity for the young women of our nation that instills the basic ideals and principles of American government through the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State and American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation citizenship training programs.
