

Marita R. Scherer’s Esprit De Corps Award

The Association of Fundraising Professionals recognizes one member yearly for their enthusiasm and above and beyond-service. I was recognized for this award for initiating and implementing a Welcome Wagon Program for new members to feel included in the chapter and have connections to the group as soon as they join. I also co-le the IDEA (diversity and inclusion) committee and helped plan the annual Indiana Philanthropy Awards Ceremony for AFP.

Received a Grant for my project "History Theatre" to create engaging lessons about world history through the art of acting out ideas and simulations.
Highly Effective Teacher 2021-2023
Through informal and formal observations, I was rated a highly effective teacher by my evaluator.
Washington Township Foundation Grant 2023
I submitted an accepted Grant request to aid Eastwood's Avid College Field Trip's transportation fund. The Grant is carried on by our school's AVID teacher.
Ball State History Conference Presenter 2021
Presented at the 24th Annual Ball State Student History Conference.
The panel was called "Marriage and Family" and I presented my paper titled "As Strict as Can Be: A Comparison of Japan and China’s Family and Social Hierarchies Pre-1500 Era" that I received a 100% on in my Asian Civilization History course.

Ball State's Foundation features certain students on their social media to highlight their accomplishments, their Ball State experience, and hard work. They film a video featuring the student and share it on their social media. I was chosen to be featured because I have raised over $30,000 for the foundation at my job as a Student Philanthropy Ambassador.

Alternate for Gilman Scholarship

A Gilman Scholarship enables American students to gain proficiency in diverse languages and cultures, skills that are critically important to their academic and career development. The applicant pool was highly competitive, making your selection as an alternate an impressive accomplishment. As an alternate, I am still eligible to be selected should there be finalists who cannot or choose not to accept their awards.

Rotaract Club of the Year
2018-2019
The club that I am the President of won Rotaract Club of the year for our district. We were recognized for the hard work that we have accomplished throughout the past year. We have done amazing work in our community of Muncie volunteering each week, planning events, and upholding professional development with our members.

Next Generation Hoosier Educator

The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship provides 200 high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $7,500 each year for four academic years. In exchange, students agree to teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school.

AXA Achievement Scholarship

The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. Scholarship winners are known as AXA Achievers.

Charles w. Scott Humanitarian Award

Charlie W. Scott wanted students who were dedicated to becoming teachers and bettering public education to be better prepared for higher education through his award. This award is given to a student who attended at least two years at Carmel Middle school, has demonstrated a commitment to community service, and is planning a career in education.

21st Century Scholar

Earning the 21st Century Scholarship provides students up to four years of undergraduate tuition at any participating public college or university in Indiana. After enrolling, Scholars must meet certain expectations in high school and in college to earn and maintain their scholarship.
